Just a few more pictures of Jason's special day.

I'm So Proud

I know that we are not suppose to be prideful, but Jason has just graduated from the Police Academy, and has now started his career as a policeman for the Othello police department. It makes me proud that he has chosen a profession of service and that he wants to make the world better for others. I only hope that he is careful and uses good judgement. There of course is always that underlying worry, but i know he will do his best. Congratulations Bud! We Love you...I think he looks dang good in a uniform. These are a few of the special moments at his graduation. Hunter and Yaz got to pin his badge on him. After completing the academy they get to ring the bell as one of the final acts as a recruit. They aren't allowed to smile as they are being inspected and presented. One of the highlights was his two best friends suprized him and flew in for his graduation. It was awesome because we were able to keep it a surprize for a whole month. Dang we're good. He didn't even have a clue. I have to give Yasmine and the kids a lot of credit for holding it together while Jason was away at the academy. I think it was hard , but she rarely complained. I'm proud of you also Yaz. Now on with life... Well maybe in a couple of weeks that is, Get better soon. I Love you Jason. You can come and stay at our place anytime. But next time you better be a little more careful what you eat out of my fidge. I've been know to grow things in there, such as MOLD. Bet those sausage pattys were good...YUM :0) J/K I'm sorry i just couldn't help myself.

What a week

I don't know where to start. I guess it would have to be Goodbye to someone who has had a tremendous influence on my life. My Uncle Lovell. A man who is small in stature, but has the biggest heart. David and i had just left for a weeks vacation to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We got there late Monday night, only to receive a call early Tuesday morning about Lovell's passing. As sad as it is, i know that there were others rejoicing and waiting to welcome him home. As i said goodbye at the nursing home on the Saturday before we left, i told him that i was going to be gone for a little while and that i loved him, and he responded with "I've loved you for a long time". I'm so thankful for him and his great example. I was also able to give him a haircut that week. WOW! So many memories.

If that wasn't enough a couple of days later Jason ended up in the emergency room late at night with acute appendicitis and had to have surgery. He only got to spend one day on his new job as a policeman for The Othello police department. He will be recovering for a couple of weeks, so he will be here for Thanksgiving and be able to attend Lovell's funeral.

Hat Day!!!

This week we were learning about the letter H. I had the kids wear their favorite hat, and i had a bunch of different hats for them to try on. We talked about how you can tell where some one is from or what type of job they have by the hats that they wear. The kids had fun trying on the hats. Colin is wearing my hat that i used when i worked on road construction.

Colin would be a great Mexican hat dancer. This hat weighs a lot. The kids did the mexican hat dance around the hat.

Caden wants to be a sailor and Gunnar will be the captain of the ship.

I'm a little slow at getting things on my blog. But i finally have a few minutes to update. Aweek ago my girls, Angie and Yaz went on a scrapebooking retreat to a lodge up in the mountains. It is something i look forward to. This is my third year now and it is just such a nice time to get away not worry about antything else but laughing and having a good time. I really enjoyed having Yaz and Angie there. There was quite a group from Royal this time also. You just kind of rejuvenate your creative juices, and glean great ideas from other scrapers. I was a little bummed because i got sick part of a day and spent precious time in bed instead of scrapping. But all in all i got some things accomplished. I have to say that i have the cutest grandkids, and i enjoyed their pages alot more than i did scrapping about me. I hope we get to do it again next year.

Ok! so Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, i don't know if it's the fact that you can choose to be sombody or something else but i like it. So i got into our photo albums and took a walk down memory lane. I don't know if the kids will get a kick out of this, but i did. So you can see just how cute MY kids are. That is if i can get this thing to work right.

I just had to post this one. i was doing my daily blog checks and Sam was looking at my preschool books and talking to me. I finally noticed that she had stopped asking me what i was doing. I turned around to find her totally loosing the battle to stay awake.
