Bits and Pieces

Ashton was blessed this last Sunday. Great Grandma Gilbert had lots of fun talking to him. he seemed quite interested in what she had to say. Having her there was very special for Jason.
I was watching the kids one evening and we had fun making valentine surprises for their moms and dads.
In Preschool we had our Nursery Rhyme unit and I was the old women who lived in a shoe. We had Jack and Jill, the moon from Hey diddle diddle, two Mary Mary quite contrary's, a baker,a Little bo peep and others as usual it was lots of fun doing nursery rhymes.
Brycen celebrated his 1st birthday. he liked the cupcake but wasn't to sure about the candle and fire. he got his own little recliner chair from his Grandma and Grandpa Fitzhugh, and he new exactly what to do with it.
I made a little quilt for Abigaile, nothing fancy, just something with lots of pink.

Christmas 2010

Jesus is the reason for the season. So this year i bought a nativity made for the kids to play with.

Sam enjoyed playing with the Fisher Price nativity. My splurge for this year. The kids loved it.

Devin was good about playing some Christmas music for our Christmas Eve activity. Clara and him became good buddies, especially if he let her play piano with him.

What a wonderful 10 days. All the kids were here for Christmas ( minus Jason and Yaz & kids) Yaz is expecting anytime now. But Alan and Katie came from Utah, and Holly and Devin from St. Louis. Also Heather and Josh and Craig and Angie. We woke up Christmas morning with a house full of kids and bikes. not to mention a ton of presents. It was so much fun. Alan and Katie also announced that they are going to have a baby the end of June. What a wonderful Christmas present that was. They only got to spend a couple of days here. But we were so glad they got to come. The weather actually cooperated for them traveling, to and from Utah. We had snow on the ground, so that was good. Holly and Devin got to go sledding and the kids built a snowman. We ate and ate and ate all week long. i am now going to have to get serious about exercising with my new Zumba tapes. Santa was very good to everyone. We spent time playing games and playing Josh's new Wii. Holly and Devin were pretty good about working off all the calories they ate. When we took Holly and Devin to the airport we spent the night in Coeur D'alene and went to the Holiday light show on the lake. It was really neat. something that little kids would get a lot of enjoyment out of. It seemed like it all ended to soon. But, we have now started a new year and hope that it is a prosperous one for everybody. We are looking forward to welcoming some more grand babies to the Gilbert clan.
